Anxiety and Technology

This week, I read an article by Sherry Turkle, called Anxiety. I think that this article is important for all teachers to read because it gives us insight into another challenge with technology that many of us do not even think of. We all want to bring technology into the classroom, and we should, but we need to consider the effects that technology is having on our students.

How should technology be integrated? What should technological innovations do for our school system?
These questions were answered for me in Alive in the Swamp by Michael Fullan and Katelyn Donnelly
Often, I think that technology is just being used, for the sake of using it. Technology needs to have a purpose, it needs to really add to our lessons, and enrich them in some way.
