Coaching

Grade 7 Badminton Coach

During my third practicum, I took on the responsibility of being the coach for the Grade 7 Badminton team. I got to work with other great coaches, and some really great players. It was an awesome experience, and I gained many skills necessary for coaching.

Sprints Coach

During Track and Field season, I also became the sprints coach, working with students who were interested in runnin 100m, 300m and relay. I loved coaching track and field because I got to build relationships with students outside of the grade that I taught, which helped to build that sense of school community for me. I also loved that I got to teach with some really amazing athletes, who taught me a lot about sprinting, and about coaching. I will definitely be looking for opportunities to coach in the future!

School Play

During my thirdt practicum, the school was putting together their spring play, which was "The Little Mermaid." I was involved with the school play through the costume, and make up diviosn. I aided a group of EXTREMELY talents Grade 9 girls, create the seahorse costume. I also helped to build sets, such as these paper mache coral reefs that you can see on the left

Spirit Club

I loved being a part of spirit club because I got to meet, and work with many students who were leaders. Theywere brilliant students, wo tried so hard to not only make their school a better place, but the world. The students involved with spirit club were organizing fundraisers to help build a school in Ecuador, as being involved with "Me to We". I am really fortunate I could work, and learn so much from these students, and I am excited to see where they go in the future.

Professional Inquiry Projet

In my third and final practicum, I noticed that the school was really interested in getting students involved, and getting them to share their ideas, and opinions. They knew that student voice was really important. Myself, and Megan Krzyzanska decided that we were going to look create a binder full of ways teachers could bring out student voice, and get students not only more involved with school, but with their community as well. Because this was a project based off of student voice, we knew that we needed to include student voice in our porject, so we asked the Grade 9s to help us create this binder, as well as part of the curriulum for next years leadership option. Again, this gave me the opportunity to work with some great teachers, and some amazing students. I am so lucky for these opportunities,

During all my practicums, I tried to get involved with the extra curricular activies going on at each school. Below is a list of other events, or clubs that I took part in
